Chris Christie Meet Eliot Spitzer and Anthony Weiner

They say nothing focuses the public like a political sex scandal., just ask Eliot Spitzer and Anthony Weiner, but that's only because we have never had a traffic jam scandal before.

Like a sex scandal, a traffic jam scandal is easy to understand, no balance sheets, no complex manuvering to comprehend. Everyone knows what a traffic jam is and everyone hates them. We all want to know, when in a traffic jam, what is causing the dastardly thing. In one case, the Christie traffic jam, we now know it was evil political doings. This is not going to be a problem that is going to go away for Christie (Rand Paul cheering in the background.)

What's great about this scandal is that while a sex scandal focuses on just the failed moral character of politicians on a personal level, this  scandal provides an inside glimpse on the evil of politicians in how they really wield power, without care for the general public. It is a great lesson for the general public. It is a great teaching moment.

Indeed, from this scandal, one important lesson that can be learned is that it is very dangerous to go around calling politicians principled.
