Just Hit The NOAA Motherlode of Climate Data Errors

Dale Fitzgerald emails:
Bob, the headline is accurate. The author has indeed hit "the motherlode" regarding how government funded scientists have manipulated the data used to "prove" AGW (Anthropogenic Global Warming) by using "renormalization of the data".
Data prior to 1998 are accepted at face value, while data obtained after 1998 are "renormalized" to account for vaguely defined changes in the collection of that raw data. When those "renormalizations" are stripped out, the data show zero global warming over the last century. This is the data that have been used to justify global warming for the last 15 years.
A snippet-----
I spent the evening comparing USHCN V1 and V2 graphs, and discovered a huge discrepancy between their V1 and V2 adjustments.
This is their current US graph. Note that there is a discontinuity at 1998, which doesn’t look right. Globally, temperatures plummeted in 1999-2000, but they didn’t in the US graph.
But when they switched to V2, they started adjusting older temperatures downwards, and left post-2000 temperatures more or less intact. This created a huge jump (greater than one degree) downwards for all years prior to 2000. You can see what they did in the animation below.
Blue line is thermometer data.  Thin red line is V1 adjusted. Thick red line is V2 adjusted. Thermometer data and V2 data are normalized to the last five years, creating a small offset on the Y-axis. They created a significant warming by reversing polarity of the adjustment in the pre-2000 years. How did a peer-reviewed positive adjustment suddenly become a negative adjustment?

  2. Bob, thanks for posting this. Although numerous "smoking guns" w/r/t the bullshit AGW meme have been published, this will (hopefully?) be the final bullet.

  3. I doubt this post will stop the Algorians, but it is a serious blow to their bullshit.

I hope other news sites pick this up. Perhaps Drudge would like to know about this?

  4. If ever in the history of the world a political meme needed to die, it's the global warming/climate change bullshit. I just want to live in a world where I don't have to hear about this moronic crap anymore.

  5. Steven Goddard, who penned this, is an everyday must-read when it comes to exposing the climate hoax. He's been linked to by Drudge several times that I know of. His posts are often short and punchy with a snark similar to that of Lew Rockwell. Some of his best posts are newspaper clippings from the 19th and early 20th centuries that show much worse climate trends and weather events than we have today, as well exposing climate scientists as the perpetual scaremonger boobs that they are. His only short-coming is that he is a bit of a neocon--though has certainly gotten better over the last few years.
