Affordable Care Act Enrollment Drops Off in February

About 4.2 million people have signed up for health plans on Obamacare exchanges through the end of February. That makes it unlikely that the Obama administration will hit the estimate of 6 million enrollees by the end of March.

About 900,000 people signed up for exchange coverage in February, according to the latest monthly enrollment report from the Department of Health and Human Services. That’s down from the 1.14 million people who signed up in January,

Most significant, youth don't appear to be as dumb as the Obama administration thinks. Youth aren't signing up to get screwed with high premiums anywhere near the rates that Obama thought it would happen.

For the second straight month, young adults between 18 and 34 years made up just 25 percent of total exchange signups. The administration originally said 40 percent of exchange enrollees should be young adults to help counter the cost of older and less healthy enrollees.
