White House Denies NSA-'Heartbleed' Link

File under: Nothing is confirmed until officially denied.

Politico reports:
The White House is denying a report that the U.S. government has known for years about a vulnerability known as “Heartbleed” that has left data on secure websites open to interception by outsiders.
National Security Council Spokeswoman Caitlin Hayden issued a statement Friday disputing a Bloomberg News report that the National Security Agency knew about the problem for two years and failed to warn users of the secure protocol used to send passwords, credit card information and other sensitive data.

  1. The part where Jesus turns into Rorschach test is brilliant. The separation of God and the State is all fine and dandy, but too many people have ended up replacing God with the State. The State will cure us with its government sanctioned psychotropic drugs until we are numb zombies staring at the wrong end of the barrel. All one has to do is run a business for the last 5 or 6 years and witness the strange and erratic behavior of your customers over time. Which might explain why Jerry Wolfman Hack is getting worse and worse.
