OMG Mark Cuban Apologizes to Trayvon Martin’s Family

NyPo reports:
Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban apologized Thursday to Trayvon Martin’s family over his choice of words in a videotaped interview in which he addressed bigotry and prejudice.
Cuban even revealed some of his own prejudices in the interview with Inc. magazine, and said he believes everyone has “prejudices and bigotries” on some level. But after his words — which came with the NBA still dealing with the fallout over racist remarks made by now-banned Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling — created a stir in social media and other circles, Cuban took to Twitter to offer his apology.
“In hindsight I should have used different examples,” Cuban wrote. “I didn’t consider the Trayvon Martin family, and I apologize to them for that.”
Cuban also said he stands by the substance of the interview.
For the record, Cuban never mentioned Trayvon Martin during the interview. The video is here.

The attacks on those who appear to be making sound and sincere points is absolutely astounding. It is as  if 99.6% of the population has been hypnotized into politically correct views that fly in the face of reality and it becomes extremely dangerous to speak out against such politically correct distortions.

  1. What a sissy. If you aren't tough enough to stand up to the hate mongering PC crowd with your view points, then keep them to yourself. He made himself look very foolish.

  2. Yeah. He's coming across as a self-important billionaire who wants to have his cake and eat it too.

On the one hand, he wants to generate positive publicity for himself by being "politically incorrect" and now towing the standard, company line on Sterling. On the other hand, god forbid he say something that ACTUALLY IS politically incorrect, so he has to issue an apology at the first sign of leftists shrieking racism.
