Gov't Sends 14,000 Draft Notices to Men Born in 1800s...

The Selective Service System mistakenly sent notices to more than 14,000 Pennsylvania men born between 1893 and 1897, ordering them to register for the nation's military draft and warning that failure to do so is "punishable by a fine and imprisonment."

If we must have draft registration, this is the one I would have no problem with--drafting dead people. When you think about it, this effort is pretty cost efficient. Since war is about killing and getting killed why not send already dead people into war. No need for all that costly armor.

  1. So the Y2K problem was for real!

Leave it to Selective Service to be the last one to find out. In their defense, they only had 14.5 years to fix it.
