Staten Island man Eric Garner’s death was ruled a homicide from the NYPD chokehold applied during his arrest for selling loose cigarettes.
Garner, 43, died of compression of neck (choke hold), compression of chest and prone positioning during physical restraint by police, according to a spokeswoman for the medical examiner’s office.
Contributing factors were chronic bronchial asthma, obesity and cardiovascular disease, the ME said.
Cops confronted Garner for allegedly selling untaxed cigarretes on Bay Street in Tompkinsville, Staten Island on July 17.

It's a trick. Pacify the public with high charges. But.... they can prove manslaughter but not murder... so the pig skates because the DA charged him with something that no jury is ever going to convict him on.
ReplyDeleteDamn. You're probably right.
DeleteI do love the phrase "coproaches".
Another freedom fighter killed at the hands of the state.
ReplyDeleteSimply for selling "illegal" smokes. You got to love the badge lickers on various sites defending the coproaches because the guy had several arrests in the past, like that all of a sudden strips one of their right to be left alone.
DeleteAh, that'll teach HIM to intrude on a union man's job duties! Breaking up a fight! Who does he think he is, impersonating cops??
ReplyDeleteOh, wait.
Heh. The People need to convey that cops are IN SERVICE to law and order; not in CHARGE of it. And they SURE AS HELL aren't in charge of punishment!
Murderers are what they are, no matter what costume they wear.
