Harvard Protesters Occupy University President's Building

Roughly 40 students demanding that Harvard divest from fossil fuels occupied Massachusetts Hall, home to the office of University President Drew G. Faust, at about 10 a.m., reports the Harvard Crimson.

Harvard student Canyon S. Woodward, who is one of the occupiers and is a member of the activist group Divest Harvard, told the Crimson, “We’re trying to put as much pressure on them as possible. We are going to reiterate our call for divestment—we’re no longer settling for a meeting—we have to take action now.”

From the Divest Harvard web site:
Global warming has already begun to take its toll on our communities. Hurricane Sandy’s devastating power, the scorching drought across the Midwest, and the wildfires that raged through Colorado last year demonstrate the damage that global warming can cause to our society and economy. Millions of people are and will be affected.
These kids really need to get back to class and take some courses on the methodology of science. There is no serious scientist who will use a recent hurricane or a wildfire as proof of the impact of global warming. It is really silly.

Their Kool-Aid is too strong, my brain has melted.

Which one is Canyon? I prefer Gulch or Kloof but what do I know?

  2. Like all protests like this, the girls are serious and the guys just want to get laid. But really, someone call Tom Woods and let him know he's got some skulls to crack at his alma mater.
