Black Business Leader Wants NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio to Halt Cap on New Uber Cars

U.S. Black Chambers CEO Ron Busby in a letter to the mayor last week said the proposed one-year restriction on new black and livery cars will put up a roadblock to job opportunities for black New Yorkers in the outerboroughs.

“This would be the first time that city government would adopt a policy that would directly kill thousands of jobs for New Yorkers, especially in the communities for which you advocated,” wrote Busby, whose group represents 240,000 black-owned businesses.

City transportation officials point to a 63% surge of new for-hire cars since 2011, with 25,000 vehicles hitting the road in the past four years.

Busby has a point, I wonder what his view is on the minimum wage, which is a major killer of job opportunities for black youth.

  1. Somebody should write a pamphlet listing all the "Progressive" policies (since maybe 1830) and the effect of each one on Black Americans.
Maybe Blacks would quit burning Confederate flags and start burning "Hopey-Changey" flags.
