During Fashion Week, There Is a Charge to Gain Access to an NYU Keynesian Economist's 10-Person Hot Tub,

Keynesian economist and NYU professor Nouriel Roubini, who has certainly upgraded the women he hangs with, a bit, is about to take the next plunge.

For Fashion Week in NYC, he will be hosting a meditation session with the Path at his triplex penthouse on Tuesday, followed by an open Jacuzzi for all guests, for a fee, of course, reports NyPo.

According to an e-mail sent out by The Path, which teaches ancient meditation techniques, “The sit will take place at sunset, and everyone who joins will be invited to stay after to enjoy gorgeous views and a new rooftop hot tub.”

The e-mail adds that Roubin “one of the most famous economists in the world, who is deeply committed not only to getting into great shape physically, but in the power of meditation to make you healthier — in mind and body . . . He is known for hosting scene-y/trendsetting New Yorkers.”

The fee to attend: $20.00

Yes, I know. $20? WTF?

I don't know if this is the first serious sign of deflation. Or if the demand curve for hanging with Roubini matches that of the demand curve for hanging with Paul Krugman's dead cats.
