First Look at Robert De Niro as Bernie Madoff

Here’s the first look at Robert De Niro and Michelle Pfeiffer as Bernie and Ruth Madoff for an anticipated new HBO movie.

De Niro stars as disgraced Ponzi schemer Madoff in HBO Film’s “The Wizard of Lies,” which is currently filming in New York...

The film is directed by “Rain Man” Oscar winner Barry Levinson and executive produced by De Niro, and his partners at Tribeca Productions Jane Rosenthal and Berry Welsh.
Smith also reports:
Also currently in production is the ABC miniseries “Madoff,” which stars Richard Dreyfuss and Blythe Danner as Bernie and Ruth.

    There are so many politicians and bankers who should be sharing a cell block with Madoff, I really can't get worked up about his offenses.

    Without seeing either performance beforehand to tell who portrays him, De Niro looks much more like Madoff.
