A Great Question for Hillary, Bernie and O'Malley

Don Boudreaux writes (via Cafe Hayek:
Bonus Quotation of the Day…

… is a question that Wall Street Journal columnist William McGurn fantasizes a debate moderator asking all three Democratic presidential hopefuls during the next debate of these arrogant and ignorant seekers of unwarranted power over their fellow human beings:

Here’s one [a question] for all three: Mrs. Clinton, Mr. Sanders and Mr. O’Malley, all of you support an increase in the federal minimum wage. Are any of you aware that the Davis-Bacon Act—the first federal minimum-wage law—was passed in part to prevent southern black workers from taking construction jobs from unionized white workers up north?
A great question for those of you in early campaign state to ask. Record it on your cellphones and send it to me for posting.
