The Interest Rate Futures Market Now Shows Traders Expect a 72% Chance of a December Fed Rate Hike

Following hints from Richmond Fed President Jeffrey Lacker, Atlanta Fed President Dennis Lockhart, Cleveland Federal Reserve President Loretta Mester and New York Federal Reserve President William Dudley that a rate hike is likely at the December FOMC meeting, futures traders have pushed the probability of a December Fed Funds rate hike up to 72%.
