[Wainright] flies to Ciudad Juárez on the Mexico-U.S. border with an electronic tracking device hidden in his sock so a security consultant can track his whereabouts; it doesn’t work. He gets a ride to coca-growing fields in the Bolivian Andes in a Land Cruiser driven by a guy who calls himself “ bin Laden” because of a bushy beard that extends six inches below his chin. He shops online at a site that, to fool drug tests, sells “synthetic clean urine” delivered through an accessory called the ScreenyWeeny—described by its manufacturers as “the world’s best fake penis, with Push&Piss technology.” It comes in dark and light colors, circumcised and not. He’s not making this up.
