EXPOSED: IMF Chief Who Told Greeks to Pay Their Taxes Doesn't Pay Taxes

Christine Lagarde
Christine Lagarde, the International Monetary Fund managing director who provoked an angry reaction from the Greek people after telling them to pay their taxes, does not pay tax on her own salary, it has emerged, reports the Telegraph.

It turns out her $467,940 annual salary and $83,760 of additional allowances are entirely tax-free as the IMF is an international organisation.

An IMF spokesman said: “Salaries, like those in most international organizations, are paid on a lower, net of tax basis to ensure equal pay for equal work regardless of nationality.

Last week she said the Greek crisis was partly due to “all these people in Greece who are trying to escape tax”.

  2. So it's not spending, but revenue that's Greece's problem? Oh, wait, that's the opinion of a tax paid bureaucrat who doesn't pay taxes. Give me a tax break, but not you. What a hypocrite. Typical elitist entitled spin. And it's the attitude of bureaucrats, politicians all over the world. Why do the public keep supporting them? Why do they self enslave? What mind trick, what mass superstition makes govt. possible? And when will they wake up and stop creating parasites?
