The House will vote this week on a bill allowing the families of 9/11 victims to sue Saudi Arabia in U.S. courts, reports Politico.
The bill, which was already approved unanimously by the Senate, is expected to clear the House and head to President Barack Obama's desk just days before the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
Obama is expected to veto the bill.
If the bill becomes law, the potential for Saudi assets in the United States eventually being frozen is a very real possibility, causing the kingdom to liquidate all its U.S. assets including Treasury securities.

The only reason the bill passed the senate is because that galoot, Schumer, placed an amendment into the final draft allowing the attorney general or secretary of state to postpone a lawsuit indefinitely. The 911 families have just become a leverage piece in foreign affairs.
