Here are the Cities that Match Amazon's Wish List for Its Second Headquarters

Amazon wants to build a second HQ and offered a checklist of what it's looking for.

CNBC matched some of the key criteria detailed by Amazon to cities and states for comparison.

Here are the results:

  1. And Chicago shows the country's lingering 'bust' economy: job growth score: none.

I don't know how they got the three score for universities though. Chicago has UofC, IIT, UIC, Loyola (LUC), DePaul, and if stretching a little into Evanston, Northwestern. And that's just off the top of my head.

  2. I thought that "business friendly" was one of the criteria ... NYC sure sounds like a business paradise!

  3. Unless they're nuts, the states of California, New York, and probably Illinois are off the table at the start.

I'm guessing Atlanta, Dallas, or Raleigh as possibilities. Dallas' central location probably gives it the advantage.
