I was just handed a 479-page tax bill a few hours before the vote. One page literally has hand scribbled policy changes on it that can’t be read. This is Washington, D.C. at its worst. Montanans deserve so much better. pic.twitter.com/q6lTpXoXS0— Senator Jon Tester (@SenatorTester) December 2, 2017
I have a fog-making machine here in San Francisco that I want to sell you, if you believe this tax monstrosity is an improvment over the current tax structure.
Further, if government spending isn't cut, it is a shift in the manner American taxpayers are being scalped but that is all.
And the final version was dropped late in the night so seantors wouldn't have time to read the clauses put in by lobbyists and others close to Senate power.

Sen Tester (D) has been in the Senate since 2007, and he hasn't complained previously about the process. He has a score of 11% from the National Taxpayers union - his real complaint is citizens keeping the money they earn.
ReplyDeleteIf that was the Obamacare bill, Senator Tester wouldn't be complaining a bit about it. He' likely be echoing Nancy Pelosi who said we had to pass the bill to find out what was in it.
ReplyDeleteIt's all political theater. Not a one of these politicians is serious.
