These Are the Toys R Us Stores On the Closure List

Toys R Us plans to close 182 of its stores about 20% of the chain. The closings are part of its bankruptcy reorganization plan.

Going-out-of-business sales are scheduled to begin in February and be completed in April at the following stores.

  1. It seems, generally speaking, that the higher tax, lack of business friendliness, and cost of living states have the most closures.

    1. High taxes? Not in Texas.

      Chanching tastes, the power of Amazon, mismanagement, those are the reasons these big retailers are closing stores. These are changing times. Brick-and-mortar will not, in the future, mean the same thing except to describe government offices, children warehouses (which people call "schools" for some reason), hospitals and perhaps prisons.

  2. I've been to three closing locations in this high tax business unfriendly state. One is out of the way and poorly located. One was located for proximity to a mall 30 some odd years ago. The mall was dying for years and closed many years ago and was torn down a couple or more years ago. The third location did decent business but wasn't well run. For instance I was there twice late last year and the same trash that was littering the entrance way the first time was there the second.
