Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, |
From CNN:
From Maggie Haberman of the New York Times:
But I warned Target Liberty readers about her weeks ago:This is shocking. And will leave Cuomo, who was already sweating Nixon, rattled. https://t.co/tMnFdjRSzQ— Maggie Haberman (@maggieNYT) June 27, 2018
There is a very dangerous political race in the Bronx.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez appears to be a very, very skilled demagogue, making promise after promise to voters and no analysis of how the promises are going to be paid for. And for good measure, she promotes a broad-based hate of the rich....She may not win this time, but she will be trouble in the future. She is attacking the crony Democratic Party from the extreme left. The New York Post writes:
Crowley’s defeat is a political earthquake in New York City politics where political machines dominate low-turnout elections and incumbents often go unchallenged...
Crowley — a high-ranking house member who had been considered a contender to take over leadership from Rep. Nancy Pelosi — was no exception to that rule. First elected to Congress in 1998, Ocasio-Cortez was the first primary challenge he had faced in 14 years. It's another example of the growing socialist movement in the age of Trump.

Whatever her beliefs, you got to hand it to someone who has the balls & gumption to actually oust a sitting 20-year congressman in a primary. That is only a good thing, and her method should inspire outsiders of all stripes & ideologies.
ReplyDeletePower is needed for one to be dangerous, she’ll have none. And it’ not like Rep. Crowley wasn’t pretty “progressive”. Crowley voted for the Iraq war. Maybe she’ll be less supportive of US militarism than he.
ReplyDeleteEva Peron, redux.
