Key US Inflation Indicator Hits 6-Year High

The Personal Consumption Expenditures price index, the Federal Reserve's preferred inflation measure, hit a six-year high in May, according to the Commerce Department.

On an annual basis, the PCE price index hit 2.3 percent, the highest since March 2012.

And excluding the volatile food and fuel components, the "core" PCE index rose two percent over 12 months, the highest since April 2012.

Buckle up, it is only going to get worse from here. #EPJDailyAlert
