7 USC §7734(a)(1)(B) & 7 CFR §301.80(b)(18) makes it a federal crime to  take used crates or burlap bags out of North Carolina or South Carolina

      Uh, to "protect" the crate and burlap bag makers OUTSIDE the Carolinas. Duh.

      You're right. I misread it and thought the Carolina states enacted laws to prevent their crates and burlaps from leaving their states. But it's a federal crime! Such insanity.
