Physical retail isn't dying because of online retail. Physical retail is dying because they stopped carrying what people wanted right now and offered service that often went beyond useless into the realm of frustrating, annoying, and wrong.
After all of that came price. Put up with what you want not being in stock, the poor service, and then still have to order and wait while paying the same or more. Might as well order it online.
Physical retail is killing itself through its own practices. Those physical retailers that don't follow those practices will survive.
Personally I never buy from Amazon any more.
