Mitt Romney Wants to Give Every American Adult $1,000 Because of Coronavirus

. Mitt Romney
If you didn't think it could get nuttier out there, it just did.

Sen. Mitt Romney is proposing that every American adult receive a $1,000 check because of the coronavirus, reports The New York Post.

“Every American adult should immediately receive $1,000 to help ensure families and workers can meet their short-term obligations and increase spending in the economy,” Romney put in a proposal.

Romney’s other policy proposals included providing grants to small businesses and allowing loan deferments for recent graduates impacted by the virus.

Where the hell does Romney think the money is going to come from for this?

It is taking money from one pocket (via price inflation) and putting it in the other pocket.

Some of the mad proposals floating around are going to end up as policy and rocket deficit spending which the Federal Reserve will have to monetize.

Like I have said, on the other side of this panic, expect very strong price inflation.

  1. Go ahead Mitt, cough up the $254 billion and the cost to distribute it to 254 million adults. Oh that’s right, you ain’t that rich. You didn’t inherit enough to give every adult in the USA even $1.00. Maybe you can get your crony buddies to chip in.

  4. At least it's a bailout to everyone equally rather than a bailout to a select few.

  7. I'm going to pay my neighbor $100 to help him out, and he's going to do the same for me. What a neat, simple fix!

  8. I'd like to see Brian Williams do the math on what giving $1,000 to every American adult totals up to.
