Wacko Starbucks Flips on 'Personal Cups'

The Starbucks throwaway cup is back in favor.

Starbucks, which had been encouraging the use of "personal cups," which did nothing but display their ignorance about the economics of waste, is flipping its economically ignorant but politically correct posing.

It is now posing anti-personal cups.

"We are pausing the use of personal cups and 'for here' ware in our stores," Rossann Williams, an executive vice president, said in a statement Wednesday.

That's it,  personal cups, mugs, and tumblers at all of its North America stores are no longer accepted.

But what is most nutty is that Starbucks claims this is only a temporary measure.

"We are optimistic this will be a temporary situation,” Williams said.

But if they think personal cups can spread disease, why would they ever allow them?

Lefties just don't think in long chains of reasoning.

They should stick to just making coffee.

  1. These folks are so funny. As though covid-19 is the only virus to infect people.

  2. What is their policy on personal cash? I’m guessing they will still handle customers Federal Reserve Notes and coins even though they are almost certain to be orders of magnitude less sanitary than a travel mug.

  3. How about their policy on indigents using their facilities? How sanitary is it to have homeless drug addicts that likely have compromised immune systems hanging out in and around Starbucks. Not to mention using their restrooms for anything and everything.

  4. Unfortunately there are already some municipalities in California such as Berkeley, Watsonville, and (starting in July) unincorporated Santa Cruz County that have imposed fees on "single-use" cups at cafés and restaurants, similar to the fees that have been imposed on "single-use" paper and plastic bags. Given the spread of coronavirus, this fad-driven nanny-state measure may sadly have severe consequences.
