Details of New Republican Proposed Stimulus Package Coming Monday

Steve Mnuchin
Republicans plan to introduce their proposal for the next coronavirus relief bill on Monday,  Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said in an interview with Fox News’ “Fox News Sunday.”

“The administration and Republicans are completely on the same page,” he said.

The proposal is expected to be a roughly $1 trillion "stimulus" package.

Democrats passed a roughly $3.5 trillion bill in the House in May.

“Hopefully, we can come together behind some package we can agree on in the next few weeks,” Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Friday.

In other words, the next phase of the bailout will amount to trillions more that the government doesn't have and will mostly be monetized by the Federal Reserve.
