Casey Mulligan Slams Paul Krugman

Paul Krugman

Casey Mulligan,  who is Professor of Economics at the University of Chicago and was Chief Economist of the White House Council of Economic Advisers from September 6, 2018 to August 2019 in the Trump Administration, is out with a series of tweets highlighting the awful commentary by Paul Krugman surrounding COVID-19 and children.

Throughout the summer, @paulkrugman said reopening school this fall would "be a complete disaster"
that "would kill thousands" as it
"disastrously reinforc[ed] the pandemic".

Based on what data? Merely that @realdonaldtrump said a (by now undeniable) truth. [bibliography next]

The crime of this is that @paulkrugman articulated GUARANTEED harm to children from remote learning but nonetheless did not object on the basis of his amateur and partisan theory of the disease, which is obviously wrong now but even then obviously not guaranteed.

Krugman is not the swiftest character at the Queer Black Lady but the nonsense he has been spewing about COVID-19 shows you he is simply a hack for the Democratic Party. Nothing he writes in his columns should be considered on first take as sound analysis. If it puts the Democratic Party in a good light and the Republican Party in a negative light, it is probably coprolite.
