What You Talkin' 'Bout Rand?

In the latest wrapup of The Robert Wenzel Show, I mentioned how the compromisers are always talking in circles, and having to explain themselves.

Well, check out this mess from Rand Paul:
Paul added that there are major areas of concern for the party, noting “we are not popular and we have not been competitive out in California, on the West Coast, or in New England.” ...

“So we think a little more of a libertarian Republican, someone who is a strict Constitutionalist, but also believes in a strong, defensive military but not necessarily in an overly aggressive or bellicose lets get involved in everybody’s civil war military, I think that has more appeal to independents and some people who have given up in the Republican Party,” Paul said.

  1. U-huh...

I'm sure all those things are what you thought Mitt Romney was, Rand, when you endorsed him.

I'm also sure that voting for sanctions against Iran fall in line with this, as well as trying to stick "constitutional limits" (instead of just saying "NO") on a bill that itself would fit nicely in East Germany.

    1. He wrote this during the campaign about Romney's FP:

    2. Sure, so he didn't know what everybody else knew about Romney when he endorsed him, huh?

And you missed the part where he voted for sanctions against Iran, just another empire action.

    3. Actually, it seems the Rand apologists never want to discuss those sanctions. Wonder why?

      Cognitive dissonance.
      It happens with all politician-worshippers.

  2. It was such that I didn't really understand this attitude towards Rand by Bob and Chris. I thought these guys can not be this stupid that they couldn't understand that is going on.

Then it dawned on me. Bob and Chris know perfectly well what is going on and trying to help Rand in his quest. They are in on it. They know Rand's greatest weakness will be the crazy associates, since experience shows that it was Ron Paul's greatest weakness.

So they are putting on a show.

    Good job guys.
