Thursday morning, Treasury Secretary Geithner will convene the President's Working Group on Financial Markets at the Treasury Department. The PWG includes the Secretary of the Treasury, who serves as its chairman, and the Chairmen of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
Interestingly, Secretary Geithner had a dinner meeting at the Treasury with "business leaders" on Tuesday, less than 48 hours before the PWG meeting. The Treasury has still not returned my call, regarding my inquiry about how many "business leaders" attended the dinner and who they were.
Maybe the JP Morgan board? Rahm Emanuel could drop in for a chat.
