More Iranian Warnings About 2-11

Something is up.

Last week, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said that Iran will deliver a harsh blow to "global arrogance" on February 11.

Iranian Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is now out with pretty much the same message.

"The Iranian nation, with its unity and God's grace, will punch the arrogance (Western powers) on the 22nd of Bahman (February 11) in a way that will leave them stunned," Khamenei, who is also Iran's commander-in-chief, told a gathering of air force personnel, reports Breitbart.

Supporters of anti-regime elements are expected to stage protests on that day. The Iranian government has charged that the protests are instigated by U.S. operatives.

  1. My hunch is that the significance of the day will be an announcement that Iran has nuclear armed missles capable of destroying Israel and eastern Europe.

The message: don't mess with us.

It could be bluster, but I think we are going to have to live with the fact that yet another nuclear armed third world country has been created.

  2. Mike,

Why would the Iranian government want to destroy Eastern Europe?

Good thing no third world countries have yet decided to nuke anyone else. That honor goes only to first world countries... well, one first world country, anyway-- the government of the United States of America.

  3. Taylor,

It's more of an instance of their missiles reaching that far.

  4. Mike,

Your original comment seemed to imply that Iran would have a reason for destroying Eastern Europe. After all, if the missles can reach Eastern Europe, they could reach China, southeast Africa, etc. but you didn't list those areas.

So that's why I asked why they'd want to destroy Eastern Europe. You didn't really answer that. Maybe you don't think they do, but then I still wonder why you didn't list the other areas that are potentially within the blast radius.
