Geithner on the Hill Tuesday

At 10:00 am, Treasury Secretary Geithner will testify before the House Appropriations Committee. He will be joined by Director of the Office of Management and Budget Peter Orszag and Chair of the Council of Economic Advisers Christina Romer. The Secretary will discuss the Administration’s economic outlook the President’s Fiscal Year 2011 Budget.

Will any member of the committee ask Geithner how he intends to raise the necessary funds to finance the deficit if China stops buying Treasury securities?

Will any member ask Geithner if he has factored in the fact that the Social Security Fund will be a net seller of Treasury securities this year for the first time?
