New CEA Head to be Named by September 3

Word out of the White House is that a replacement to head the Council of Economics will be named by the White House before Christina Romer departs on Sept. 3.

Naturally, the names popping up to replace Romer are the usual suspects, and stop before they come even close to the front door of  any Austrian economists, despite the fact that, as a group, Austrian economists were the only ones to warn well in advance about the current economic crisis.
