Geithner's Friday: Kidney Stone Removal

Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner is expected to undergo surgery for a kidney stone, Treasury spokesman Steve Adamske said Friday. Geithner was admitted to George Washington University Hospital Friday morning for treatment. The surgery to remove the kidney stone is scheduled for later today. Geithner "has been told that he should be able to return to work on Monday" after resting over the weekend, Adamske said. Geithner's physician expects that Geithner will be discharged from the hospital on Saturday.
