Even GolfBalls.com Pulls Its Affiliate Program from California

Fast on the heels of Amazon.com pulling its affiliate program, after California Governor Jerry "Moonbeam" Brown signed into law a bill taxing internet sales, GolfBalls.com has pulled the plug on its California affiliates also. A friend received the following email:

We regret to inform you that Golfballs.com has removed you from their affiliate program.

We regret the recent necessary removal of you from the Golfballs.com Affiliate Program. This decision in no way reflects your performance as a publisher and is based purely on detrimental sales tax laws regarding affiliates in your state. The states affected in this decision include New York, North Carolina, Colorado, Rhode Island, Illinois and California. In the future if you relocate to another state please inform us and we will be sure to re-evaluate and include you into the program once again.
