Newt Gingrich Pretending to be Ron Paul

"This economy is going to stay mired in a bad economy until we bring the Fed under control and we repeal the Dodd-Frank bill."-Newt Gingrich

It is quite amazing the number of times you can catch others running for the Republican presidential nomination who are positioning themselves with Ron Paul views.

But the winner in this game has to be Michelle Bachmann:

"When I go on vacation and I lay on the beach, I bring von Mises."

If college students played a "drink a shot" game during the Republican presidential debates and took a shot every time they heard one of the posers incorporate a Ron Paul view, they'd all be plastered.

  1. Bachmann really did learn under Ron Paul though:

  2. Speaking and action are two entirely different things. While I like to see people coming around (finally), I cannot help but think that they are all playing the fools. The same people that are falling for this crap that GOP candidates are finally coming around to Ron Paul's views are the same people that would pay $200 for a Rolex in a sweaty ally in Hong Kong. Sure, it looks the same, but the action and construction is not the same; it's a fake.

  3. perhaps some of them have learned a bit of economics during the period when the GOP was out of power, but the next time a GOP president comes back, anyone who opposes him/her on the wars, the economy, or whatever will once again be labeled a traitor same as during the Bush years.
