Former Bush Advisor: Americans Should Work 10 Years Longer to Pay Off U. S. Debt

Philippa Malmgren, a former advisor to the Bush administration, has told CNBC the US debt must be paid off.

Malmgren, who was a member of the Plunge Protection Team when she worked in Washington D.C.  for the Bush Administration, is no Ron Paul. She said the debt crisis could be solved easily by having everybody work an extra 10 years and that it will happen.

Not surprisingly, Malmgrem turned in her White House access card for a lucrative career as a consultant. Her long consultancy client list includes many who will benefit if the debt is paid off, Including the banksters JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America and Barclays.

  1. in addition, Ms Malmgren offered up her fees and assets to provide a example to the rest of America. (She didn't?)

  2. And if people don't want to work after retirement age, the government could create special camps for them.

  3. Such criminals.

Do they actually think people will go for this?

    Z. Brzyinski will be right:
"When people find out what their Government has done to them I would not want to be the president, a senator, a representative or a judge"

  4. Congress got us into this mess with their foreign aide (mob payments), bailouts of their friends, "free trade", and pork. How can Malmgren expect the American people to work for 10 years longer when they can't find a job now? Well, Congress now has a bill where people can voluntarily contribute to debt reduction: she can contribute all she wants, and STFU.

  5. I wonder what they would call those camps. Imagine the "positive" spin they would put on the camp.

  6. Stop foreign aid.
    Stop subsidies to corporations.
    Stop the wars.
    Cut the defense budget seriously.

Loosen immigration for investors and businessmen.

Cut corporate taxes low enough to make shelters and evasion pointless.

Cut federal funding to the schools and make them compete on their own merits.

    Cut the space program

Cut all income taxes to one low flat rate.
Shut down 90% of the spy agencies and bases.
    Fire half the government.

After that's done, then we can see...

  10. Camps? Yes nice camps with large ovens, appointed well with large sleeping quarters, two to a bunk. Free tattoo service on your arms, communal water soup kitchen, large supervised exercise yard. No undertaker services, paid for.

It is called Camp USA for Grownups.

  11. Awesome acronym, Capn Mike!

Seriously, we should stop referring to it as "the Defense Department", and start calling it by its former name, "The Department of WAR" or even better, "The Offense Department".

  12. "The retirement age" is a number artificially created by the government Ponzi scheme Social Security. Until people realize that Social Security is a fraudulent, inherently bankrupt, destructive form of socialism that creates a class of whiny, parasitical octogenarians who feel entitled to other people's possessions, things will not change.

  13. It would give a new meaning to the title, "Obama's Debt Reduction Team (ODR)".... you know kind of like the Plunge Protection Team (PPT)

  18. Did the little parasite tell CNBC to pay the debt off? I'm confused. Only the drop-dead stupid slaves would do that.

  19. Love your comments but you all miss the point...As an Octogenarian, I have never added to the nation's debt. I never had student loans, grants for anything and never worked for any government, paid constantly into SS and the IRS and satisfied all taxes levied by any authority. I retired on savings and SS was a small part of that income. I pay for my doctors here and abroad and also health insurance and medicare. I am no parasite but some of my children and their children are.

Accordingly, this mess is the responsibility of all of you under 70 because not one of you has been able to think straight since you fell for cacaphony instead of music and you have been careening through life ever since. You deserve the world falling down around you! The "Kill everyone over 39 crowd" is in charge of the nation and how they have despoiled it! The Madame cited in your article is a perfect example of them!

  20. Alice, I absolutely love you!

(sadly, you would probably classify my musical taste as falling in to the "cacophony" group...but I'm 50 years your junior!)
