Food Prices Up 6.5% in September and Energy Prices Up 28.2%

Based on the Personal Consumption Expenditure price index, food prices climbed 6.5 percent in September, and energy prices rose 28.2 percent.

But, hey, if you don't eat or use energy, excluding food and energy prices, the “core” PCE price index was flat in September..

  1. Yeah, but wages are flat, housing prices are still down, and things like the Nintendo DS 3D are way cheaper, so it all balances out.

  2. We can just eat Nintendo DS 3Ds or at least that's what William Dudley tells me.
