Eat at a Food Truck: The Government Hates Them

Food trucks are an attempt by the free market entrepreneurs to get around the many regulations associated with stationary restaurant locations. Governments hate them. But it is a great business for those with very limited capital and the food being served by food trucks is getting more creative and delicious all the time.

  2. Food (and coffee) at these trucks aren't cheap... than again, nothing is in NYC.

  3. It is funny how a full blown Commie Obama has resurrected the Small Business American Dream. This would not have happened if the half-azz Commie such as McCain had been elected. We have been taking our cancer medicine and will hopefully survive and be reinvigorated!

  4. SO question here, since it seems to be a libertarian argument that food trucks are being discriminated against. In a society where all property was private, just how easy would it be for food trucks to set up on sidewalks close to restaurants as they do now? Do you really think that there would not be clauses within the contracts between the owners of the sidewalks, roads and buildings to ensure that the brick and mortar restaurant owners would not lose out to someone who can just drive their business to a location?

  5. In our area the food trucks are inspected daily. Brick and mortar restaurants are not. Seems to me that in many ways there are MORE, not LESS regulations on food trucks.
