How to Get Off the Campaign for Liberty Email List

Dan Cotter writes:
I had been sending C4L emails for probably 6 months trying to get them to remove the account I had with them. They kept sending me back form letters saying they were really busy and would get to it. So today I just started commenting on all their posts blasting Jesse Benton and John Tate, and promising to continue doing this everyday until they deleted it. My account was removed an hour later.

    1. I'm at SIX unsubscribe requests and counting...your unsubscribe link seems to work better than mine.

  2. Any guess on how to get them to stop calling? Unfortunately, I made a donation when they first were formed in 2008. Since then I've gotten tons of junk mail from them begging for more money. The letter are often badly written and two dimensional. A non-libertarian reading them would think they were insane. Worse though, they keep calling. I've asked to be removed every time, and yet they keep calling back. I wish I knew a way to make them stop. In the last four years they have probably spent more money trying to get me to donate than my original $100 donation. I find that to be a clear sign of an organization to avoid (as well as their occasional support for awful candidates.)

  3. I unsubscribed from the email list earlier this week. I assume it worked; I used the unsubscribe link in the email.

The 'funny' thing is, when asked to fill in my reason for leaving, I simply typed: "Same as the others."

I assumed they would figure it out... Heh heh.

  4. I also love it when C4L sends you e-mails and then another person from the organization "forwards" you the e-mail as if they are the average Joe-Schmo who just *happened* to think of you.

    1. Often with the "did you miss this important email asking for money!?!" introduction.

  5. Yeah, it wasn't the email list. I unsubscribed from that a long time ago.

I was registered on their website from a while back. You can sign up an have an account there. I didn't want to have that anymore because I don't want to associate with their organization. I didn't want my email account on their rolls anymore. That is what I got them to delete.
