A Chance to Live Like a Soros

NyPo reports: Here’s a big opportunity to live like a billionaire heiress.

Andrea Soros Colombel and her husband, Eric Colombel, have put their Greenwich Village townhouse at 10 W. 10th St. on the market for $29.5 million. The fully renovated, seven-bedroom home is a four-story Greek revival-style townhouse that dates back to 1844. It comes with an elevator, three wood-burning fireplaces and a state-of-the-art sound system.

Andrea, daughter of George Soros, also has a sprawling house on 60 acres in Rhinebeck where Hillary and Chelsea Clinton have stayed. Her real estate holdings also include a three-story residential building on West Fourth Street that partially collapsed last January. There were no reports of injuries.

  1. I was a billionaire, I wouldn't live in an old-ass concrete-garden house in a sardine-packed city. Not when I could get the same square footage on fewer floors, comparable amenities — plus a private 4-car garage, a front yard, a back yard, side yards, and a swimming pool on 1/2 acre or bigger lot — for 5–10% of the price, outside the concrete jungle where it's peaceful and quiet.

  2. Nice house, though i'd still prefer to look for a house with enough space for pools with automatic pool covers over this one (especially since it's in a congested neighborhood, too).

  3. I think the house looks crowded in place. I prefer buying a home with wide backyard were my kids could play freely and where I could put a medium-sized pool and with a cutesy pool gate from tampa and a garage that could accommodate at least two cars and design the house according to what I want. But the interior of the house looks classy and elegant, I just don't like the location of it.

  4. That 29.5 million dollar house is definitely a place to live in. Who wouldn't want to live in a house with an elevator, three wood-burning fireplaces and a state-of-the-art sound system? Having a pool with a swimming pool pumps will surely complete the house package. I believe the swimming pool was at the top of the house.
