There is a reason Obama spent millions sealing those records. I doubt that he will release the actual applications/transcripts.
But is releasing documents too much to ask to help the needy? I think not. Trump is volunteering to do "a little more" / "his fair share".... how about Obama?
This is The Duck's big news? Apparently he does not understand the difference between news, and the ranting of a lunatic, despite what he claims is a billion or more in the bank.
$5 million is penny change for the Quack; let him raise that to a Billion. Even then, I'd recommend Obama only consider it if the funds were placed in escrow.
Makes no difference how much Trump offers Obama has an ego bigger than any other politician in history and he will not open records because his ego won't allow for others to know just how shallow and deceptive he is.
Good point from Anon @ 12:11. I think this would have been an even better move if he made it a bit more formal: using escrow, specifying exactly which documents be released and from where (instead of using phrases like "to my satisfaction"), etc.
It's always nice when the power elite take a little heat, and charity is a good way to do it to those two-faced power-worshipping bleeding heart liberals.
What a joke. If this were true political opposition on the part of Trump, he would likely suffer severe penalties on, say, his economic well-being or somewhere else it would hurt. A lot.
That's what happened to Eliot Spitzer politically after he published "Predatory Lenders' Partner in Crime: How the Bush Administration Stopped the States From Stepping In to Help Consumers." About 2 to 3 weeks later, news of his philandering "mysteriously" emerged, and Spitzer was pressured into resigning his position as Governor of New York.
Not that I agree one lick with Trump or Spitzer's politics. But at least Spitzer was challenging the overreaching feds on a matter of substance. The issue of Obama being a legal president, while important, is now a moot point. His first term is nearly over, and his possible replacement is probably as bad as him, or even worse.
Sounds like someone told Trump about Bob Murphy.
ReplyDeleteKiller move imo.
that was my first impression as well.

Who says us libertarians aren't influential?
DeletePlease tell me you didnt just call trump a libertarian.

DeleteI'm in for $100, Mr. President. Anyone else?

CNBC just reported that Romney campaign is distancing themselves form the Quack, so Trump once again is a legend in his own mind only.
ReplyDeleteYesterday Trump said he would be speaking on behalf of Romney ticket within next week or so. But that is unlikely now.
I wonder if CNBC will keep this crackpot as a Tuesday regular contributor.
I thought he was going to announce the names on Obama's secret kill list.
ReplyDeleteFrankly Donald if you would go away I bet I could raise 5 million to never see or hear you and that animal on your head.
ReplyDeleteThe reason the records are locked up is because Obama studied as a foreign exchange student, i.e. not as a US citizen.
