Police Investigating "Meet the Press" Host for Displaying Illegal Gun Clip on-Air

Get ready for one of those goofy no one is above the law, supposed teaching moments.

The Washington Metropolitan Police Department is investigating “Meet the Press” host David Gregory for a potential violation of the District of Columbia’s gun laws, a spokesman for the department confirmed to The Hill.

While interviewing National Rifle Association CEO Wayne LaPierre on Sunday, Gregory held up what appeared to be a 30-round magazine to ask if it should be banned. The cartridge is illegal in Washington, D.C., where “Meet the Press” is filmed.

He will be arrested and given a slap on the wrist, just before everyone in the court asks for his autograph.

  1. Why didn't LaPierre ask:

    Isn't that magazine illegal here?

If LaPierre had half a brain he could have walked all over the smug hypocrite.

    1. There are so many laws it is impossible to know them. That is one of the intentional designs of a tyrannical regime.

  2. The pro gun people should push this in every interview and every chance they get as David Gregory showing exactly how worthless and pointless "high capacity" laws really are. Gregory, who also spent the interview saying armed guards were a bad idea at schools, sends his kids to the same school obama sends his where there are eleven armed guards and secret service protection.

The NRA should really hype this interview up as proof that gun laws don't work. What better example than a journalist breaking the law?

  3. Lapierre fucking blew that one. David, that fucking clip is illegal, you broke the law. Secondly, your fucking kids are at a school with 11 armed guards, put them in a school without guards and I think you'll agree with my point that we need guards in all schools. Interview over....

  4. "Clips" are used to load a M1 Garand. Magazines are used to load pistols.

  6. Gregory is going to understand the "need" for an Ar15 with a 30 round magazine once he is in the DC jail cell with about twenty gangsta brothas.

In all seriousness, if a nerdy white elitist liberal can obtain a 30 round AR mag despite the law banning it, how is that going to stop actual criminals? This is probably the best thing that could have happened for the gun liberty movement if they utilize it correctly. Gregory proves how pointless high cap mags or really any gun laws are better than the NRA types possibly could.

Apparently NBC asked permission to use the magazine and was told no. So this is even worse than just using it on the air!

  8. In my country there is problem
And that problem is the Feds
    They take everybody's money
And they never give it back

Throw the Feds down the well!
So my country can be free
You must grab them by the horns
Then we have a big party

(I wish no government harm or otherwise to the idiot, David Gregory. Sometimes, living in bizarro world can give you a good laugh. Calls from the State to punish the State suck-up Gregory are one of those times.

  9. I don't know who was worse when LaPierre called for an efficient national mental health database so we know who the "lunatics" are.

We know who they are. They're orchestrating the War on Terror. They openly say they never want it to end.
