Report: Adam Lanza was on the Anti-Psychotic Drug Fanapt

Buried deep in a piece on the Sandy Hook Elementary School killer, Adam Lanza, New York Magazine reports that  Adam Lanza's uncle said Lanza was prescribed Fanapt, an anti-psychotic medicine.

Business Insider reports on fanapt:
Fanapt was the subject of a Bloomberg report when it passed regulators, after previously getting the "nonapproval" stamp. Why wasn't it approved, you might ask?

There are many reasons, some of which have to do with competing entities in a competitive market.

The main cited reason for the rejection was that it caused severe heart problems in enough patients to cause a stir.

Maybe more importantly, though, Fanapt is one of a many drugs the FDA pumped out with an ability to exact the opposite desired effect on people: that is, you know, inducing rather than inhibiting psychosis and aggressive behavior.

In fact, Fanapt was dropped by its first producer, picked up by another, initially rejected by the FDA, then later picked up and mass produced. The adverse side-effect is said to be "infrequent," but still it exists, and can't be ignored.

The reaction invoked by the drug in some people is reminiscent of the Jeffrey R. MacDonald case, where a Green Beret slaughtered his entire family and then fabricated a story about a marauding troop of "hopped up hippies".

MacDonald though, had Eskatrol in his system, a weight-loss amphetamine that's since been banned in part for its side effects of psychotic behavior and aggression.

  1. Earlier today, I was considering posting a question whether he was on prescribed medication, and if he was, how much it cost, and whether it was delivered under any subsidized government program. Then I saw a story saying police could find 'no evidence' that he was on meds. We've heard that 'we can find no evidence' line before, tho.

  2. 2nd Gunmen Being chased into Woods ?? Sandy Hook Connecticut

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TFKDuit8_xU&feature=player_embedded

Helicopter of police running into woods after second suspect who we never heard anything about. Why was he wearing camouflage pants and a dark jacket (matches witness descriptions of shooter), why was he hiding in the woods, why immediately did he start saying he didn't do it, and how many elementary school personnel do you know wear camouflage pants and dark jackets to work?

I should add that it has now been confirmed that the mother was not a teacher at all, and certainly not at that elementary school.

    From the following link: http://wtkr.com/2012/12/17/connectic...neighbor-says/

"Neighbor Gina McDade said Nancy Lanza was a “stay-at-home mom” and not a teacher or part-time employee of Sandy Hook Elementary, as some media reports stated.

Nancy Lanza had earlier worked in finance in Boston and Connecticut, said a friend who knew her well but who didn’t want her name published. Nancy Lanza had retired or was on a break from her career, but she was not a teacher, the friend said."

Wonder if any of the security cameras that were most likely installed all over the school will be reviewed...

  3. Scanning both WebMD and wikipedia for side effects reveals that great pains have been taken to make the psychotic side-effects difficult to find, or eliminated them altogether. NICE.

  4. Thanks for posting, Mr. Wenzel. This comes as no surprise, but hopefully it will encourage further investigation.

  5. Just a guess but maybe Adam Lanza started being drugged in elementary school on the advice of a school counselor and held a grudge for his deterioration. His eyes are so dilated when he's in high school, young adult out of high school. When he was a child, he was happy and you could actually see that he had blue eyes. As a young adult, they look brown because his pupils are that large.

He probably wasn't treated as nicely as his brother.

  6. Adam's father's position as tax director at GE, might have been the catalyst for Nancy Lanza's survivalist obsession and gun hoarding. She has expressed fear of a coming economic collapse. Sadly like Holme's whose father was set to appear as witness in the LIBOR scandal, this reveals the dangers of exposing unstable young adults who are medicated, with the intricasies of what malignant elements have wreaked on our economy. Easy access to guns is not reasonable because everyday life experiences are overly stressful. Holmes was an expert in detecting the anomalies, through logaritmic analysis, which reveal investment/banking fraud through manipulation. Coincidentally, a financial expert/newsman lost 2 children when his nanny went berserk, after he outted a $43trillion dollar scam. It appears extremely bad luck seems to follow those privy to trillion dollar heists.

    2. Guns don't fire themselves.
Before banning these, take these mind-altering drug prescriptions from the market. Ban psychiatric mythology and its weapons, drugs. Psychiatry amounts to armed mythology.

Obama sheds a tear, but he backs drugging moms. Do you know what hapes to people who are suddenly taken off these drugs? They can become disorientd and full of rage. Okay. Guns don't kill; people do. Psycoactive drugs don't kill; psychiatrists kill.

Antipsychotics have unpredictable effects. They also make fortunes.Psychiatry is the killer, and no, I am not a Scientologist.

    3. No ban anti-psychotic drugs, ban government schools who get kickbacks for pushing them on kids recklessly.

  7. The gun lobby says "Guns don't kill people, people kill people".

My response is that "People with guns kill people."

    1. People with guns, knives, forks, baseball bats, cardboard cutters..etc..etc..etc kill people. Hell, people have even killed others with their bare fists such as strangulation.

Guess we cut everyone's hands off, eh?

  8. First of all there is no evidence that this boy was on drugs of any kind. No one has disclosed that he was treated by a doctor, which he would have to be in order to obtain drugs.

This is all speculation at this point.

  9. It reads at Wikipedia that "Ann Marie Fudge...is former chairman and CEO of Young & Rubicam Brands, a global network of marketing communications companies. In early 2010, FUDGE WAS APPOINTED BY PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA to his National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform (NCFRR)."

  10. We the people are to blame if the sinfully profitable pharma industrial complex gets a pass on these killings. I personally have posted to several alphabet soup news blogs protesting their lack of investigative reporting just because big pharma pays big bucks to advertise. Their sins are forgiven because they are criminally rich. I have informed my Rep and Senator in the same fashion. Just imagine if a million outraged citizens demanded a through investigation of how these drugs have contributed to recent mass murders. Dont give them any place to hide...speak outto the news suppressors.

  11. Anonymous and anyone else who thinks that Adam Lanza, a schizophrenic patient, wasn't continually drugged out of his gourd doesn't have a clue as to what is going on in the real world.

  13. There can be do doubt that the mental health authorities and current system plus Nancy Lanza’s ridiculous and irresponsible attitude to letting Adam carry 3 of her guns at the time she was extremely worried about his mental health, were the primary causes for these fatalities. However, his father is not exempt from blame. I have just seen a picture on the Internet of Adam Lanza at one year of age or possibly younger, playing with a real gun, surrounded by an arsenal of weapons. His Dad now says he wishes he had never been born. I am sure Adam also wishes this now, in retrospect, that he had never been born, certainly not into that family. They, the crazy gun culture of America to which they ascribed and contributed, combined with the absence of tight gun laws in the USA are entirely responsible for this incredibly cruel tragedy. There is no psychological test that can adequately safeguard the community against such a crazed gunman, and no way of knowing when they will strike, where, or at whom. The only answer is to ban the guns out of the hands of the general populace, especially heavyweight military hardware, for whom such guns were not designed in the first place.
