Flanked by gun grabbing lawmakers, including New York Sen. Chuck Schumer and Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin, Diane Feinstein announced the introduction of the “Assault Weapons Ban of 2013 Bill.” It would make gun grabbers such as Mao, Stalin and Hitler proud.
The legislation being pushed by Feinstein would prohibit the sale, transfer, importation and manufacture of certain firearms, including many rifles, pistols and shotguns.
Here's the list:
(HT Jeff Deist)
AR-15, I do no not think that term means what you think it means.
ReplyDeleteEveryone knows it means "Assault Rifle - 15 rounds". Duh!
Deletethis is sarcasim right?
Deletethey ban the SPAS12? thats just a semiauto/pump action shotgun like 100 others, only ugly looking. it has been discontinued in 2000. quite famous for appearing in the Terminator movie. reason for banning it? maybe they are afraid of cyborgs coming from the future?
ReplyDeleteI literally laughed out loud. Anything "scary" looking they decided to attempt to ban. I am so sick of emotional basket cases lording over me.
DeleteSadly, I live in CA. This hypocrite getting put into office every election cycle just fries me. This state is ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteAlmost as bad as AZ continually putting Reid in.
[!!] Harry Reid, Senate Majority Leader, is the senior senator from the state of Nevada. In the interest of locating the proper electoral stupiditas in the proper place. The appropriate accusation for Arizona is that they continually elect John McCain.
DeleteWhooaa. I'm an Arizonan. You can say bad things about us, but don't spread the rumor that Harry Reid is from here. He's from Nevada.
Delete@ Ellis Wyatt
DeleteIt is worse than that, Napolitano was attorney General and Governor here. And I don't mean the good Napolitano.
Whoops sorry NV. Thanks :) I knew that but somehow I typed AZ anyway.
DeleteAre they going for the whole enchilada in the hopes they get half now and half after the next false flag event?
ReplyDeletethe list bans all scary looking guns.
ReplyDeletegood job fienstein, propaganda to make liberals fear their neighbors and trust the government to save them.
I warned you months ago at the outset of the Petraeus scandal. I told you that confirmation would arrive in no more than 90 days.
ReplyDeleteI am not Mr Garrow. I am not Mr Garrow's source. However, these sources existence confirm the military purge that is today ongoing.
The military you had even very recently would not be useful in a totalitarian state, and would aid in resistance to a totalitarian state. I cannot guarantee that continues today or will continue tomorrow.
I am attempting to forewarn you once again, so that you may take steps to forearm yourselves.
what? Patreous didn't really strike me as the George Washington type
DeleteOn the news last night, Feinstein claimed that an assault weapon had" a detachable stock which made it more concealable". Hell that just makes it a giant pistol. Having a dead tree attached makes it unsafe?
ReplyDeleteHave you ever tried to carry an AR under your trench coat? All Matrix like? That dam magazine always gives it away!
DeleteFirst they came for the AK's...
ReplyDeleteAll part of the Hegelian dialect. Problem, crazy (end game) solution, rejection of solution, compromise solution, repeat until crazy solution is reality.
ReplyDeleteThe problem is this is backfiring and getting regular people so angry that I don't know now if any new gun laws will pass when i was certain something would before. This has regular independent and republican types all over america madder than anything I have ever seen in my life, even obamacare.
ReplyDeleteFeinstein thought she could put this out there and then people would compromise with something less severe, but I think it is having the opposite effect and causing people to be madder than I have ever seen at the state.
I saw on CNN earlier ( yeah yeah I was at the gym didnt have a choice ) the Democratic party is launching a campaign to promote support for the anti-gun legislation Feinstein introduced.
ReplyDeleteMethinks ANON 4:39pm is correct. Interesting.
Is there not a single Senator who will stand up on the floor of the Senate and simply read the 2nd amendment of the Constitution to this woman, and then remind her that her oath of office requires her to uphold the Constitution?
ReplyDeleteThe states have the power to regulate firearms within their own borders according to their own state constitutions, the federal government is barred from abridging the rights of citizens to keep and bear arms! Feinstien should be impeached for bringing this bill before the Senate.
But that would violate the rules of etiquette of the "club".
DeleteShawn,
ReplyDeleteYou say "The states have the power to regulate firearms within their own borders according to their own state constitutions...", but this is not true. The right to keep and bear arms is, supposedly, guaranteed to all, regardless of in which state they reside.
I would say that is a common misconception. The Constitution as ratified does not apply to the states except where specified, thus the bill of rights applies only to the general (federal) government. Prior to the 1950's courts generally ruled that the Constitution applied only to the federal government, since then the doctrine of "incorporation" has been the law and the Constitution has been applied to govern the states.
Delete"Not to worry" - government officials are EXEMPT from the gun ban.
ReplyDeleteDon't these people understand what they are doin?? When the red coats tried to seize powder back in the 1700's, the civilians formed an army and kicked their asses pretty bad. They are gonna cause a riot over this, I'll be damned if my kids aren't gonna grow up and learn to shoot and hunt the way I did!
ReplyDeleteThis is much worse than the list would imply. The bill includes all handguns which are variants of full-auto weapons. For example, the G-17 can be construed as a variant of the G-18. The first is a very popular semiauto pistol produced by Glock. the second looks practically identical, but is select-fire. Would the existence of the G-18 be grounds for banning one of the most popular handguns in America?
