Politico reports that Danny Kedem has been brought on as Anthony Weiner’s campaign manager for a race he is likely to announce next week. Kedem’s resume includes a handful of other congressional runs and mayoral races, as well as field organizing work on Hillary Clinton’s presidential run.
Weiner has also brought on a press secretary and is filling other roles.
A Quinnipiac poll conducted in April had Weiner at second place, trailing only front-runner Christine Quinn, according to NyPo.
Weiner was at 15 percent in the poll, while Quinn had 28 percent. Bill de Blasio was right behind Weiner, with 11 percent, followed by Bill Thompson at 10 percent and John Liu at 9.
