Staffergate Interconnections Charted

Investigative reporter Lee Stranahan has put together the below chart of what he has dubbed staffergate. John Tate, Dimitri Kesari and Jesse Benton are Ron Paul Inc. players.

  1. Bob, I have a lot of respect for Ron Paul. But at some point you gotta wonder about the man and his choices. Forget the newsletters. Old and overrated history. Many of the people he surrounded himself with are very shady individuals. Further, look at his post-political career. Yes, some very good things like the channel and home school curriculum. But also more political fundraising? And this too is ongoing, not just a one-time event.

    1. Most people wouldn't even be here if it wasn't for Ron Paul. I just can't seem to care about this so-called "scandal."

The problem isn't whether you care, but that the Left is going to attempt to use the "scandal" to messy up Ron Paul. What RW is doing here is correct: separate Ron Paul from Ron Paul Inc.

  2. Reminds me of an old episode of Star Trek the Next Generation with Sarek. Sarek was a great man being insulated against an uncomfortable truth by those who loved him most. This is what Picard had to say of the matter:

Picard: "I can only guess that he does not see - or he does not wish to see - the truth. And he is being insulated against that truth by those who love him most."

The truth in this case being how unprincipled and self-serving some of those around him have become. Self-serving to the point of sacrificing the movement for their own personal ambitions. I doubt very much Ron would want to think that of his grandson. What grandpa would want to think that of their grandson? Ron needs a man though to make him face that truth as Picard did for Sarek.

Also, I stress some have become unprincipled and self-serving in Ron's orbit. I've met several of Ron's former staffers that are top notch people, absolutely first rate human beings in terms of character and principle. It is a shame certain individuals behave in the manner they do.

  4. I see and understand the accusation against Dimitri Kesari. However, so far, I still do not see an actual accusation against John Tate or Jesse Benton, let alone Ron or Rand Paul. If there are actual accusations to be made, make them.

I can't help but wonder if the fact that actual accusations have not yet been made indicates that some of those pushing the story are trying to suppress the liberty message through innuendo.

Also, the chart very, very suspiciously leave out the role of Dennis Fusaro. I wonder why?

    1. So Benton, who now works for McConnell, is part of the "liberty message"?

What specific message of liberty is he promoting, the liberty of having your choice on all you can eat buffets?

    2. I was not implying that Benton is part of the liberty message. However, Ron Paul clearly is.

Someone is clearly trying to imply that actual accusations against Kesari's should be held against Benton and therefore also against Ron Paul, even though I have not yet seen any actual accusations have been made against either one of them.

If there are actual accusations to make, make them. To me, innuendo without specific accusations implies an attack on the liberty message rather than the pursuit of justice.
