Ezra Klein Displays The Value of a 2nd Grade Education

By, Chris Rossini

One of the State's leading propagandists, Ezra Klein, has left The Washington Post to start a new rockstar news venture. For those who are unfamiliar with Klein, he's a guy that will take any government power grab and go to work on burying readers in data and charts to justify it. Klein beats readers into submission with statistics. Murray Rothbard warned against such operators when he said: "statistics cannot refute logic".

In his latest Bloomberg piece, Klein addresses all the things that could be done to cure the recession:
We could invest in infrastructure to create construction jobs. We could give tax breaks to employers who hire new workers. We could restore the payroll tax cut to workers so they have more money to spend. We could help state and local governments hire back some of the employees they laid off during the recession. (my emphasis)
First of all, the "We could...We could...We could" stuff is right out of government's 2nd grade classroom. If Ezra would have said "Peter Pan could," it would hold the same amount of validity as that "We".

Let's take a look at each claim:
We could invest in infrastructure to create construction jobs.
Really? Why "construction" jobs over every other job? How many construction jobs? How much money should government "invest"? How can government know without profit/loss signals?

One thing is for sure. There are plenty of crony firms lined up, waiting for taxpayer cash to rain down on them, so that they could build first-class bridges to nowhere.
We could give tax breaks to employers who hire new workers. We could restore the payroll tax cut to workers so they have more money to spend.
This is equivalent to two muggers discussing how they're going to handle their next victim. "Well, we can break just one of his legs...that way he'll at least be able to hobble around on the other," or "Maybe we'll just take his cash, and leave the credit cards."

To the State and its sock puppets, humans and their property are little playthings, sitting around, waiting to be manipulated by force to achieve the State's desires.
We could help state and local governments hire back some of the employees they laid off during the recession.
The best thing that could have happened to those "employees" is for them to have been "laid off" from the parasitic sector. It gives them a chance to actually do something productive and be a net positive in voluntary society. Ezra wants to bring 'em back to the parasitic sector, so that they can feed off the playthings.

The above, ladies and gentlemen, is how you make it BIG in the State's world of propaganda journalism. Take your 2nd grade government education and use it to climb the ladder of success.

“Everything for the State; nothing outside the State; nothing against the State.” – Benito Mussolini
