Following another night of unrest in Ferguson. Missouri, Governor Jay Nixon has just announced an emergency curfew.
UPDATE 1:
Midnight to 5:00 AM curfew.
UPDATE 2:
Extremely contentious press conference announcing the curfew, with residents of Ferguson shouting at the Governor and Missouri Highway Patrol Captain Ron Johnson.
UPDATE 3:
Apparently property damage done in Ferguson last night was much more significant than initially reported by media.

The NYC police killing of Eric Big E Garner and the racially charged (not so) black and white chronology of the police killing of youngster-thug Mike Brown of Ferguson MO raises important issues regarding American society in regards to civic responsibility. Additionally "all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other High crimes and Misdemeanor..
According to the law, everyone has a duty not to harm others. People who harm someone must repair the damage. This is called “civil responsibility”
Civic means, "of, relating to, or belonging to a city, a citizen, or citizenship, municipal or civil society" (ibid.).
Responsibility refers to "the state or quality of being responsible or something for which one is responsible such as a duty, obligation or burden"

ReplyDeleteWhy don't the rioters destroy the police HQ and raze the jail to rubble, releasing all the captives? Why take it out on private store owners? They should learn to focus their rage.
