What are These Two Up To? Secretary of State Mike Pompeo Meets With Charles Koch

Mike Pompeo
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo discussed the U.S. Senate race in Kansas with billionaire Charles Koch and Dave Robertson, president and chief operating officer of Koch Industries, Inc. during a visit to Wichita on Friday, reports The Wall Street Journal.

Charles isn't close to the President but he does have people embedded all around the administration, and especially around Vice President Mike Pence.

Pence is terrible on war but, if he became President in the unlikely event Trump is thrown out of office, we would see a move toward Koch-style free markets. That is  beltarians running the Empire for Charles Koch goals. There would be positives but it wouldn't be up to the level of Adam Smith free markets.

Pompeo is a top Koch man in the Administration.

WSJ notes:
[The] Koch family has longstanding ties to Mr. Pompeo, who moved to Wichita in the 1990s to launch Thayer Aerospace. Wichita’s Koch Venture Capital, a division of Koch Industries, was among Mr. Pompeo’s earliest investors in Thayer, and the Kochs and their political network donated generously to help fuel Mr. Pompeo’s political rise. From the time Mr. Pompeo first ran for Congress is 2010 to his last re-election campaign in 2016, he was the top recipient nationwide of contributions from Koch Industries, with more than $335,000 in contributions from employees and nearly $70,000 from the company’s corporate political-action committee, Federal Election Commission records show.
There is strong speculation that Charles wants Pompeo to run in 2020 for the open seat vacated by retiring Sen. Pat Roberts (R., Kan.).

  1. "Pompeo is a top Koch man in the Administration."

How credible could Koch's libertarian credentials be if he backs a key member of the national-security state?
