Alright, it's conspiracy time! I'm convinced Ron Paul is lying here. That's right, I said it, the most honest politician of our time is lying. However, I don't think there is any nefarious purpose here, I simply think that Ron is that much of a gentleman that he refuses to allow Perry's own immaturity to become the focus of the campaign. Score one for Ron here, again.
Ron Paul is laughing because he knows he won a HUGE victory by getting Perry to physically assault him like that. Make no mistake, the photos will go viral via the internet. This could very well be the thing that costs Perry his shot.
"Perry, it should be noted, didn't jab a digit into the face of Mitt Romney, with whom he also had a few testy exchanges. This may have something to do with the fact that Romney is a larger and younger man. I suspect, however, that Perry focused his ire on Ron Paul for the same reason Mahler singled out Conn Conagher: He is an independent man of principle whose character is a silent but eloquent rebuke to the thieves who surround him."

ReplyDeleteRon Paul is a true gentleman.
ReplyDeleteEither way, that is an awesome picture. Perry looks aggressive and arrogant, and Dr. Paul is standing his ground, calmly and firmly.
Paul isn't lieing as much as he just isn't intimated by thugs. If he were he never would take on the FED.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure with his history, Ron Paul has seen political posturing and attempts at intimidation many times from guys much more powerful than Perry.

ReplyDeleteNever saw a politician act so normal.
ReplyDeleteJudging from the pictures, I definitely think Paul was just being a gentleman here...
